His widowedmother remarried when he was three yearsold, leaving him in care of his feeblegrandmother. Eventually his mother waspersuaded to send him to grammar schoolin Grantham. Later, in the summer of 1661,he was sent to Trinity College, at theUniversity of Cambridge.Isaac Newton certain his bachelorsdegree in 1665.
